Jewish Federation of the Quad cites

The Jewish Federation of the Quad cites is a non-profit, 501 c (3) corporation that was founded in 1980 in the state of Illinois. In concert with numerous local organizations, the Federation, addresses a broad range of needs to include cultural, religious, educational, family welfare, care of the aged, and interfaith relations. The Federation combats hate and anti-Semitism by supporting religious liberty and civil rights for everyone.

The Federations Board of Directors is made up of local volunteer community leaders, elected annually, who are involved in every aspect of the organizations governance, operations and fund raising.

The United States Consulate General in Krakow represents American interests in southern Poland. Its consular district covers the provinces of dolnoslaskie, opolskie, slaskie, malopolskie and podkarpackie.

Polish and American citizens living in these areas receive most U.S. government services from the Consulate rather than the Embassy in Warsaw. The Consulate provides a wide range of consular services to Polish and American citizens.

City of Natchitoches

The City of Natchitoches is the oldest permanent settlement in the Louisiana Purchase. Natchitoches was established in 1714 by Louis Juchereau de St. Denis. The French originally founded Natchitoches as an outpost on the Red River to trade with the Spanish in Mexico.

It is believed the French first arrived in the area around 1699. Successful trading with area Indians prompted leaders to establish a trading post at the head of navigation on the Red River. The site was established near a village of Natchitoches Indians.

East Grand Forks is located in Northwestern Minnesota on the border with neighboring North Dakota at the intersection of US Highway 2 and Minnesota Highway 220. Highway 220 is not shown on the map to the right, however it runs parallel to the MN-ND border on the Minnesota side of the Red River of the North.

The city is characterized by small town friendliness and hosts several community events including Catfish Days and the Frosty Bobber fishing tournaments, Heritage Days, and an Arts and Crafts exposition each year. The city also participates in activities with neighboring Grand Forks, ND including the Potato Bowl parade and the First Night New Years celebration.
