City of East Grand Forks
East Grand Forks is located in Northwestern Minnesota on the border with neighboring North Dakota at the intersection of US Highway 2 and Minnesota Highway 220. Highway 220 is not shown on the map to the right, however it runs parallel to the MN-ND border on the Minnesota side of the Red River of the North.
The city is characterized by small town friendliness and hosts several community events including Catfish Days and the Frosty Bobber fishing tournaments, Heritage Days, and an Arts and Crafts exposition each year. The city also participates in activities with neighboring Grand Forks, ND including the Potato Bowl parade and the First Night New Years celebration.
